10 Video Games You Won't Believe Got REJECTED

1. Fez II

Fez II features the weirdest reason for ending a game's development: Cancelling the sequel to your critically acclaimed, universally praised indie darling video game, simply out of spite for the industry itself.

Really, Phil Fish is, or was, a unique gem of the business, and that cancellation is no exaggeration.

Fez II was well into production, with Fish once again heading the charge. Unfortunately, he was always coming under fire from some direction or another within the industry, with remarks from critics, reviewers, pundits or whoever else he heard in his head. This all blew out when Marcus Beer, The Annoyed Gamer, complained about Fish not giving info about something or other. Beer ended his rant with insults at the indie dev.

Fish responded via Twitter. It then went back and forth and eventually, Fish peaced the scene, literally. He threw his hands up, done with it all. Bye bye, video game industry.

Underneath that fiasco though, we lost a lovely looking game that could only give us more of what we wanted. Mind-bending, well thought out puzzles based around perspective with a pretty art style to go along with it. Some people love drama. Nothing more, nothing less.
