10 Video Games You’ll Still Be Playing Long Into 2015
7. Halo: The Master Chief Collection
Truth be told, the whole world was awaiting the announcement of a remastered version of Halo 2 - 2014 does mark the game's tenth anniversary and Halo: Combat Evolved received the same treatment three years ago. Still, 343 Industries managed to pull something out of the bag that still shocked everyone. Halo 2 Anniversary was coming to Xbox One but it was bringing every main game Halo with it, as well as every multiplayer map released for those four games. The Master Chief Collection might be one of the biggest bargains gaming has ever seen then; four genuinely fantastic games for the price of one. The remastering of Halo 2 was handled beautifully and the rest of the package compliments it well - playing through the entire series in preparation for Halo 5 is a must. Speaking of Halo 5, The Master Chief Collection also gives the player access to the Halo 5 beta which will be launching at some point in 2015. Want to get a look at the future of Halo? Better get investing. The launch may have been dogged by issues (some of which are still problematic) but for the campaigns alone, The Master Chief Collection is a nice, lengthy package. When the multiplayer is finally working flawlessly, this will be the Xbox One's greatest timesink.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
