10 Video Games You’ll Still Be Playing Long Into 2015
6. FIFA 15
It's not an official term yet but every year, the whole world seems to get locked into something called the FIFA Cycle. Basically, everybody and their grandparents buys the latest FIFA, drops a ton of cash on Ultimate Team and then grows increasingly frustrated as EA's latest offering shows little improvement over last year's. An unfortunate side-effect of the FIFA Cycle is a stinging feeling of guilt and remorse from having spent so much money on virtual cards. This side-effect often causes relapse, bringing players back to FIFA time after time after time. Love it or hate it, FIFA 15 will keep sucking players in until FIFA 16 arrives sometime next September. One doesn't simply jump on FIFA for one game, after all - losing that one match drives the urge to win one and prove something; winning evokes a cockiness that only more wins can satisfy. And thus, FIFA grabs ahold of another unfortunate victim. All jokes aside, FIFA 15 might be flawed but it's a game that can never truly be left behind. Pro Evolution might have made significant steps this year but it still can't match the sheer joy of putting in a phenomenal performance in FIFA; it's still the best place to satisfy a football craving going into 2015.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
