8. The Land of The Dead - Grim Fandango
The biggest handicap to visiting The Land of The Dead - and the clues in the name is that you have in fact, got to be dead. You might feel like an extra in a classy 1940s smoky film noir, get the chance to visit the thriving city of El Marrow and the glitzy Rubacava, and stumble across an eclectic group of characters, but the whole being dead thing really doesnt do the place many favours. The land is rife with corruption too with no one looking out for one another. Its place where youre on your own and few can be trusted. And you have to question the economy when a humble travel agent on the verge of being fired can become a successful nightclub owner in less than a year and no one bats an eyelid. Well, they might, if the residents had eyelids. It just doesnt feel legit. Best just avoid the place.
