1. Leisure Suit Larry - Everything

In the pioneering adventure game, you play Larry Laffer, an aging "lounge lizard" trying and failing to get laid. From the beginning, the game is messing with you. Try to cross the street? You get hit by a taxi and die. Try to lose your virginity to a prostitute? You get a sexually transmitted disease and die. Get the idea?

It gets worse in the sequel, where not doing every single little thing right means you lose the game and have to start over, but a lot of that was due to the technological limitations of the time.

The game was on multiple disks, and you couldn't go back to an earlier disk if you made a mistake. However, making it as painful as possible was all on the developers.
