Other items in the list have already touched on Ultimate Team, but this is the area that is the biggest problem with FIFA and what is making the game worse year on year.
Ultimate Team first came into the series in 2009, but the biggest change came in FIFA 2017 when Weekend League was introduced. Nearly every aspect of the mode is geared towards ultra competitive gameplay. Even if you play during the week, one off matches can only be played in the points based Division Rivals. This is, in turn, reducing the enjoyment players get from the game, with most within the community believing that even in victory there is very little fun to be had.
FIFA has moved away from an enjoyable experience to one pushing competition, endless grinding and micro transactions. EA Sports are unlikely to change this while profits are high, meaning FIFA will not be getting any better any time soon.
