10 Ways Naughty Dog Could Make Crash Bandicoot Work In 2016

9. Mix Up The Gameplay

Most people who would buy a new Crash title would do so to get their platforming fix, and traditional platforming should make up the majority of the gameplay. The original titles were not afraid to mix things up though, with vehicular sections and variety in gameplay through unlockable abilities; a new Crash title should strive to do the same. Numerous platformers since Crash have proven variety keeps things fresh: Ratchet and Clank blended platforming with third-person shooting; Super Mario Galaxy used a variety of new power-ups to create unique levels; Conker's Bad Fur Day offered you the chance to gun down vampire bats, attack a giant haystack (wrestling reference fully intended) while riding a pitchfork, rave in a nightclub full of cavemen and throw toilet rolls to vanquish the appropriately-named, Great Mighty Poo. You get the idea. Naughty Dog's own recent library has proven that they are creative enough to conjure up a variety of scenarios that would provide new gameplay opportunities for the Crash Bandicoot series, it's just a case of putting them to best use.
