10 Ways Sony Could Ruin The PS5

6. Competing Directly With Google Stadia

For better or worse, the Google Stadia is coming. The tech giant is all in on making streaming the next big thing, and have spent the past year throwing their mighty weight behind their inventive games console. While it might be easy to ignore the idea of an all-streaming machine as a "fad", Google isn't a company to be sniffed at, and we've already seen both Microsoft and Sony take steps to avoid any kind of surprise attack.

The two joined forces recently to explore a collaborative partnership that will allegedly bolster their streaming capabilities in the wake of the new competition. That makes sense, but the issue would be if Sony attempts to pre-empt Google by fighting them with the PS5.

We already know the company is taking some cues from the features included in the Stadia. The Playstation Assistant, for instance, is set to feature similar game-tracking technology, where data from your play session is constantly analysed so the Assistant can offer in-the-moment feedback and optimise the experience.

Stadia is going to be a competitor, but if Sony gets scared and attempts to match them, the PS5 will suffer.
