Even if Microsoft was the first to introduce a paid online subscription, at least they offer the best rewards to go alongside it.
Although this can be entirely subjective, Microsoft's Games with Gold are a lot more consistent in quality than the offerings that PlayStation Plus usually has. Although PS Plus has given games like Rocket League and Infamous: Second Son, Games with Gold has been running for so much longer that the catalogue of games is bound to be better.
From exclusives like Forza Motorsport 5 and Killer Instinct to big budget games like Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed, Games with Gold has pretty consistently offered great titles, whereas PlayStation Plus has often dipped massively in quality, and only recently seems to be picking up for good.
Nintendo have yet to introduce their paid subscription, but the initial announcement that it would include one temporary classic game did not go down well with fans. Microsoft is certainly winning on this front.
