9. You Feel The Need To Play All The Classes At Maximum Level
Playing other classes and alts is addictive. From the moment you decide to play a new class, you'll then instantly think about their endgame potential, and set about putting in the hours, grinding quests, dungeons and committing genocide to all manner of creatures across Azeroth for those precious experience points. Sure you can buy the instant level 90 character, but it just feels a bit... dirty. £40 is a lot of money for a boost, but its placement on the character selection screen makes it a constant temptation. Synergising professions, completing all the garrison and crafting dailies take a lot of time and effort, but the rewards and gold you receive from all the crafting reagents and equipment would make anyone salivate. You feel the need to complete these tasks every day, however - these are most optimal with the level three garrison, something only available for level 100 characters. From the moment your new class reaches level cap and their professions become profitable, you find yourself staring at the character selection screen, slowly moving your mouse towards the "Create New Character" button. Every time this happens, you can sense Blizzard delicately touching their fingers together and muttering "Excellent" all Mr. Burns-style. Before you know it, the cycle begins anew.
