10 Weirdest Video Game Endings

8. Jericho

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=o3I4SJ0mlfQ Jericho is another one of those games developed by Clive Barker, like Undying, that had loads of atmosphere, but couldn't find a particularly decent story to hang all of its little flourishes on. Still, it was a palatable FPS title that nevertheless had a pretty damn strange ending. The majority of the game has you fighting in a squad to get to the Firstborn, who is God's first creation who turned out to be a bust before he ended up making Man. What's odd is that, for no apparent reason - other than, we suspect, budget cuts or time constraitns - we're deprived of a final battle, and the Firstborn, who is really just a baby in a bubble, gets snapped up by a giant dragon, who just happens to be the game's other big bad. Little explanation or context is given for these events; all you do is flee, swim to the surface, and get treated to a relatively bland credits scrawl. How underwhelming and weird.
