10 Worst Gaming Failures Of All Time

7. N-Gage

Though Nokia's N-Gage is frequently derided for its horrid aesthetic and clunky controls, it did pave the way for mobile gaming to really take off with the influx of smart phones flooding the market in recent years. Even saddled with a clumsy interface and a horrible screen (which for some reason is portrait rather than landscape), it was the first mobile device to actually take gaming seriously, something that transpired through to the now immensely popular touch-screen gaming we all enjoy on our phones. So, why else did the N-Gage fail? The buttons were far too small for a gaming device (something modern developers have easily remedied), and as a phone, the thing looked stupid. It's all well and good creating an all-purpose device, but if I'm embarrassed to be seen speaking into it, then it's not really much use, is it?
