Notable Launch Games: Ryse: Son of Rome Powerstar Golf Dead Rising 3 Forza Motorsport 5 In some ways, the Xbox One had a better launch lineup than the systems we've covered so far. Dead Rising 3 was pretty fun, its ports of Call of Duty: Ghosts and Assassin's Creed IV were pretty good and the somewhat free to play Killer Instinct wasn't that bad either. Where the Xbox One deserves ridicule, though, is in launching after the Playstation 4 with a higher price tag and having so very little to offer its early adopters. Ryse: Son of Rome deservedly gets most of the flack from the initial game lineup for being a painfully simple graphical showcase, but Forza 5 deserves some shame for being such a highly touted advancement of the franchise that ultimately removed much of the content that made Forza 4 so compelling while adding more microtransactions. Xbox One owners looking for decent games at launch weren't completely in the dark, but the games meant to justify the higher price of the Xbox One failed spectacularly in doing so.
