4. Dead Space
Dead Space 3 has just come out and taken us back to the world of Isaac Clarke, necromorphs and the Church of Unitology. And what is this futuristic world like for the average Joe? Well, if you were a just a lowly member of the USG Ishimura from Dead Space 1, you were killed and turned into a necromorph. If you were lucky, you ended up as a standard slasher, waking up when Isaac came near and being eliminated by him quickly after. But if you were unlucky, you turned into one of the guys stuck to a wall, your intestines turning into weird tentacles and your stomach shooting out exploding pods, all whilst you are still alive. But what if you are just a normal guy living on a human colony somewhere in space? If you happened to be living on the Sprawl, the space city above Saturns moon Titan you were killed and turned into a necromorph. And if you werent on the Sprawl, you are quite possibly one of the millions of members of the Church of Unitology, the religion that believes the necromorphs are the next stage in human evolution, so if you believe the faith then you are eventually going to be killed and turned into a necromorph. Theres not a lot of opportunity for the common man in the Dead Space universe it seems.
