Backstory: Perhaps not the most creative backstory ever, but something about Winston tugs at your heartstrings a little. It might be the glasses. It’s not enough to find a high score though. 5/10

Abilities: I’ve mentioned it several times, but impact is such an important thing. Winston severely lacks it. His ult allows it a little, but it’s clunky and unpleasant to control. His other abilities include a leap, but his damage output isn’t high enough to warrant getting in close, and his shield is far outclassed by the likes of Orisa and Reinhardt.

He sorely needs, no, deserves a rework. 2/10

Design: He’s not very visually exciting. It’s a lot of white, sort of a reverse Reaper colour scheme. His explorer legendary is nice, and his Yeti skin is pretty good, but there’s nothing else of particular note. 4/10
