5. The First 30 Hours Of Kingdom Come: Deliverance
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is actually one of the most refreshingly old-school RPGs in years.
Think a historically-accurate, realistic Elder Scrolls. Once you get the hang of using a bow and arrow without an aiming reticule or know how to read an opponent during a swordfight through mannerisms alone, everything starts to click like nothing else.
However... that "click"? It comes after a good 20-30 hours.
The opening of the game is a straight-up slog, filled with fetch quests, go-nowhere conversations and areas that only serve to waste your time. You don't even get to wield a sword until after that sizeable introduction, and that goes double for being let loose on the world itself.
Naturally this ends up boxing Kingdom Come in with other games that "get really good after 20 hours!", but such an ask means the vast majority of people will never touch it.
