10 Worst Video Game ''Limited Editions''

7. Tony Hawk Ride Limited Edition £99.99. Price now £15.00

Tony Hawk was once the top dog of skateboarding games. That was until EA released Skate and Tony Hawk (already past its peak) was forced to play catch-up. Activision thought that by adding a peripheral, like they did with Guitar Hero, it would entice players back to the franchise. In this case the game came with a motion detecting ''skateboard''. The game got very bad reviews and what made it worse was that Tony Hawk Ride could only be played with the motion detecting skateboard. That would be fine if the fake skateboard worked but it was too imprecise and difficult to use. The moves on screen appeared to be random and most of the time bared no relation to the trick you were trying to do on the board. People who could skateboard dismissed it because it failed in every way to be a proper skateboarding simulation and novices found the controller inaccessible. Every Tony Hawk Ride came with the board but there was a Limited Edition released that had red & black hawk artwork on the skateboard rather than the standard black. The good thing was that the limited edition was £99, the same price as the standard edition but the bad news is that its now only worth £15.
