10 Worst Video Games Ever Made (That We Loved As Kids)
6. The Simpsons Road Rage
There was a time when you couldn't step into a gaming store without seeing The Simpsons plastered on case after case. The peak of the Simpson's video game heyday was undoubtedly their GTA clone, The Simpsons Hit & Run. Sadly, it's safe to say they didn't treat Crazy Taxi with the same respect.
Road Rage was a clone of the iconic Sega franchise set in the town of Springfield. You'd drive around, pick up passengers, get them to their destinations within a time limit, and smash as much stuff as you wanted on the way. Any kid who loved driving, breaking things, and The Simpsons was in heaven.
But, in reality, Road Rage was plagued with issues.
Did the cars handle well? Absolutely not! Did the game look good? Hell no! Was there anything it did better than the original? Of course not!
The game's most damning feature, however, was its terrible collision detection, the failure of which ruined the game's entire premise. Why even bother driving around and smashing things if you're just going to get clipped by an invisible object anyway?
This game is better than The Simpsons: Wrestling or Skateboarding, but that's like saying you prefer having a cold over having the flu. You'd be better off with neither.
