10 Worst WWE Video Games Ever

2. WWF Steel Cage Challenge

09 Steel Cage Challenge It took a while for WWE games to find their feet on home consoles. Most of the games that appeared on the NES were mediocre at best but some were particularly awful. WWF Steel Cage Challenge was one such game. As suggested by the title, the game's main selling point was the fact that it was the first WWE game to feature a steel cage but even that wasn't enough to save it from the ever-growing NES disappointment pile. Steel Cage Challenge was a bore, especially due to the fact that there were only about five or six moves at your disposal. And that's not for each wrestler. That's in the entire game. This meant that no matter whom you chose from the ten-man roster, they all played the exact same way. It's a boring pattern of punches and kicks that grows tiresome almost instantly and you pretty much have to guess when you've inflicted enough damage to pin the opponent. It somehow managed to be worse than the games that came before it, with the introduction of the cage being the only redeeming factor to point to. One game mode however is not enough to save a game this bad and NES wrestling fans were left to deal with the fact that Steel Cage Challenge was the worst of the WWE games to grace the console.
