10 Wrestlers Who Didn’t Deserve To Be On The Cover Of A Wrestling Game

4. The Rock - WWE 2K14

The Rock’s a first-ballot Hall of Famer. One of the biggest draws of all time. The greatest on the microphone. It’s rare you don’t hear his name when wrestling fans talk about their wrestling Mount Rushmores. And The Rock and wrestling games simply go together. He’s deservedly been on the front of WrestleMania 2000, No Mercy and the first three SmackDown games. Heck, Rock coined the term ‘SmackDown’.

However, there were eyebrow raised when he graced the cover of WWE 2K14 in late 2013. Obviously, the decision behind it was to appeal to mainstream/lapsed fans (just like the decision was made for him to win the WWE Championship earlier that year from full-time performer CM Punk) with The Rock already established as Hollywood's biggest draw. That year though, he only had three matches, and none since April.

Daniel Bryan, who had a monumental year in the squared circle for WWE and was a full-timer, had to settle for being the ‘2K14 alternate cover star’.
