10 Xbox One Games To Consider Before Committing To A Console

9. Quantum Break

quantam-break-remedy Quantum Break is a bit of a weird one. For me personally, it has failed to make a massive impact in terms of needing to get my hands on it. However, I'm also incredibly interested in further developments into what the game has in store. We only know bits and pieces about the game and it isn't entirely easy to visualise how all of it will fit together in the end. One of the key aspects to the game is that there is a TV show to go with it. Taking a leaf from Defiance's book, in theory the game will influence the show and the show will influence the game. However, that has left some scratching their head. It is quite a strange notion since the game, so far, has only been revealed as an action game. With nothing yet revealed in the way of extended connectivity, it is hard to see how exactly the game will end up influencing the TV show with no continuous world growing past the main single player. That could change and an ever growing and sustainable world could still be announced, but that is the kind of thing you lead with so there are doubts. Although, I am all for a new time travel IP if done right. Being able to walk around in scenes frozen in time could lead to some really interesting set-ups and narrative uses. Nothing shown yet has really set my expectations alight, although nothing has set them low either. If the game tells a compelling sci-fi story there is no reason why it couldn't take a permanent place on your gaming shelf.
