11 Best Fighting Games Of The Decade (So Far)

1. Injustice 2

Injustice 2
NetherRealm

A more comprehensive fighting game than Injustice 2 you will not find in this decade. Not yet, at least. Thanks to NetherRealm, the fighting game genre is no longer one of the few (maybe even the only) video game genres that's resisted the irresistible allure of RPG fever currently sweeping over all of gamedom.

The skill-based nature of brawlers should dictate that statistical advantages in the form of items or upgrades would upset that balance, but NetherRealm found a way to make it work. Microtransactions excluded, being able to customize any one of Injustice 2's eclectic roster with personally-tailored attire and abilities is, without mincing words, fantastic.

The depth it affords is huge, and that's not even taking into account the unequaled story campaign that, lengthwise, stretches into the double digits, serving as a delectable slice of fan service, as well as a primer for DC newbies in equal measure.

Now about that PC version, Warner Bros. and co. Is it coming or not?
