11 Improvements We Must See For Call Of Duty 2016

7. A New Engine With Better Graphics

Yes, the last two CoD games have seen the series' visuals improve fairly significantly after the atrociously dull-looking Ghosts, but there's still a lot of work to be done. During BO3's campaign in particular, the visuals range from gorgeous to immensely ugly, while the multiplayer feels far more standard fare, with up-close textures appearing to be incredibly low-res, which just reeks of a lack of effort on the part of Treyarch. Sure, players typically bolt around the map so fast that there's not much time or inclination to stop and soak in the details, but it's still extremely immersion-breaking when you come across an object that looks like a decade-old game asset. The best thing Infinity Ward could do with their upcoming game is to just throw out the IW engine completely and build something new from the ground-up. While this presents its own risks and almost certainly won't happen, it'd be hugely refreshing to play a gameplay style and structure that doesn't feel so dated and behind the times.
