Have you ever sat someone down who wants to "Get into gaming" and explained why it totally matters whether or not they inverted their controls? You're likely to get looks more contorted than a vaudevillian circus act. However it's the one debate that transcends characters, companies, franchises and everything in between; do you invert your controls, or do you leave them? What about only changing the horizontal axis, or just the vertical? Are you someone who has to pause the game to change them after a controller is passed to you, or who laments the lack of an option within a pause menu when booting up a new title? Well you're not alone, as somewhere along the way developers realised the satisfaction in up sometimes being down, and left occasionally being right too - except for when it's not. Because, you see... *clears throat* if you were holding an outstretched pole in real life, and you arched the nearest half to you to one side, keeping in mind the axis of the object is in the centre; the front would go the other way, right? Perhaps that's just sheer madness, we don't even know any more, but what we do know is that it makes sense to us, and will to thousands of you too. Are there any company or franchise rivals we missed? Let us know in the comments which camps you belong to, and especially whether you're 'that guy' who has to pause multiplayer games to invert their aim!
