11 Reasons Lost Legacy Is Better Than Uncharted 4

7. WAY Less 'Character-Abuse'

I'm struggling for a term for this, but it's that sense of seeing your character fall down countless ravines, get battered by chunks of the environment, miss handholds or otherwise get 'abused' to manufacture a constant struggle for them to overcome. Uncharted pioneered the trope and Tomb Raider's reboots went overboard, but A Thief's End was almost comical in the amount of times something went drastically wrong for Nathan Drake.

Again, it's almost part of the character at this point, but there's a difference between some sort of Captain America-style, "I can do this all day", and a tiresome cliché.

Lost Legacy drastically tones down these sort of scenes, and because of that, when one key moment does come, it lands with genuine peril. We don't know how much someone like Chloe can take, and Naughty Dog use this to have one of the most memorable sequences in the entire game.
