11 Unannounced 2014 Gaming Sequels That Will Sell Millions
10. Borderlands 3
Loot-hording is a gameplay idea more commonly seen in dungeon crawlers, but Gearbox were able to take the thrill of constantly upgrading and changing weaponry and introduce it into an FPS, creating the immensely popular Borderlands. Part of Borderlands' success is down to the setting and characterisation of the game it borders on insane. Pandora is an incredibly hostile world with huge, monstrous enemies and it provides the perfect playground for four-player co-op madness. Borderlands 2 in particular was crazy fun (although you may have found the frequent pop culture references a tad too much) despite re-treading a lot of ground from the first game, making Borderlands 3 a highly anticipated arrival. Sadly, Gearbox are playing down an imminent arrival for the game (perhaps for the best, rushing the game wouldn't really end well) but it's undoubtedly still a big part of the developers plans. Tales From The Borderlands by Telltale might be our main Borderlands fix this year then, but Borderlands 3 is still the one we all want to see.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
