11 Unannounced Video Games We Know Are Coming

3. Fable 4

One of gaming's worst-kept secrets, reports have suggested that Microsoft has been working on the next instalment in the Fable franchise for a while now. After Lionhead rounded off its trilogy in 2010, the studio struggled to continue the franchise through spin-offs, and were eventually shut down in 2016.

However, salvation has apparently come in an unlikely form, with Playground Games being put on the franchise in order to create a proper follow up to Fable 3. The studio so far has worked exclusively on the Forza Horizon series, so it's going to be a pretty major switch in direction, but one which could serve to be the kind of kick up the a** the franchise needs.

According to rumours, Fable 4 could feature everything from multiple worlds (but not Albion) to time travel, with the new devs wanting to do anything but play it safe.

It being very early in development is probably why Microsoft hasn't announced anything yet, but expect to see at least a logo when the company formally unveils the Xbox Scarlett.
