11 Unannounced Video Games We Know Are Coming
9. Bioshock 4
Every day that passes is another day fans wonder why the hell they haven't heard anything official about a new Bioshock game yet. The franchise has been dormant since 2013, after original devs Irrational Games downsized, and publisher 2K seemingly left it hang out to dry, but we know something is coming.
Almost flippantly, Kotaku's Jason Schreier reported back in 2018 that a new Bioshock game was in development at a top-secret studio working next door to Mafia III studio, Hanger 13, but that's all we've heard since. There's been no clarification who the devs are, whether the game is going to be a full sequel, and not a peep about it's setting.
Still, even that is enough to get fans excited. While Irrational shepherded the franchise, other developers can still do the series justice (as evidenced by the extremely underrated Bioshock 2), and there is so much untapped potential to explore in Rapture, Columbia or an entirely new setting.
The fact that we haven't heard anything official yet suggests it probably won't be releasing on current-gen consoles, but that might also mean fans will be given an official announcement alongside the reveal of the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett next year.
