11 Upcoming PS5 Games We Know Are In Development
5. Assassin's Creed: Kingdom
Unlike some of the other games on this list, Assassin's Creed: Kingdom being a launch game for the PS5 doesn't take any elaborate guesswork or piecing together leaked tidbits. At this point, we know the franchise is on a two-year cycle, which puts the window for the next game in 2020, which should coincide with the launch of Sony's new console.
We know more than a mere release date though, as there have been a bunch of alleged leaks across 2019 that point towards the setting, plot, and new gameplay mechanics. Kotaku reported in April that Kingdom will feature Vikings and focus on a Norse setting and Norse mythology (which would make sense following on from the Greek-oriented Odyssey).
This direction was also teased in The Division 2, with fans picking up on an Easter egg that showed a Norse God holding an artefact that many assumed to be the Apple of Eden. Ubisoft have included hints toward future projects in their game before, so it's just a matter of time before they officially confirm Assassin's Creed: Kingdom.
