10. Nemesis's Insta Sprint - Resident Evil 3 Remake

With the success of Resident Evil 2 Remake, it was no surprise when Capcom gave RE3 the same treatment the following year. Like the original, most of Resident Evil 3 Remake revolves around Jill Valentine trying to escape from Raccoon City while being hunted by an unstoppable zombie called Nemesis. This deformed brute keeps the player constantly on edge since he can appear at any moment.

And if you thought he was scary then, the recent incarnation is far more relentless and unpredictable. Time and time again, you'll be strolling about, minding your own business when this monstrosity bursts through a wall like the Kool Aid Man, blocking your path.

Although the original incarnation of Nemesis was challenging, this version feels unfairly cruel. You don't have a moment to breathe when he shows up since he charges in your direction the instant he sees you. Because his entries often result in Jill getting knocked to the ground or being hurled across the room, you don't get a chance to gauge your surroundings. Since this leaves you no time to strategise, you usually end up running around aimlessly and panicking, giving Nemesis ample time to put you out of your misery.
