11 Ways Telltale's Batman Is The Best Since Arkham Asylum

1. The Reality Of Bruce Wayne

Telltale

By far the biggest breath of fresh air is seeing Bruce Wayne brought to life in a video game for the first time. Even on the page it's rare we spend a whole lot of time seeing him deal with the press, give speeches, forge friendships and put on a brave face, but here all those things are not only on show, but controllable.

You can speak about the corruption of Gotham and talk to guys like mob boss Falcone (knowing you'll be donning the cape and cowl for a repeat visit later on). It's the first time you really feel the effectiveness and freeing nature of living Bruce's double life.

It's this quality that gives Telltale's game an infinitely enjoyable sense of escapism; one that Rocksteady didn't go near as they focussed on the power fantasy aspects of the character, and one that until now, we'd simply never seen before.

That, is why Telltale's Batman is the best Batman since Arkham Asylum.
