11 Ways Telltale's Batman Is The Best Since Arkham Asylum
10. It's A Mix Of Bale, Affleck & Miller
There's a brilliant moment in the first episode where you get to have some real agency when interrogating a thug. Do you go down the Batman V Superman route and push the guy to the brink of death, breaking bones as you go? Or do you intimidate, work the psychological angle and rule through fear?
Brilliantly, we see a reprisal of the voice modulator from the DCEU - it's something Bruce flicks on when he realises he's going to be talking to someone other than Alfred. During the interrogation, there are a couple of Bale-esque, "TELL ME WHERE HE IS!"-style lines delivered with force, but nothing to the comically garbled degree that he took the character.
The Miller-isms come mostly from how the suit is put together (more on that later), but in letting you choose to break bones and bash a criminal's face in with a pipe, there is a small window into the more ruthless portrayal of Batman the likes of Miller work dove into.
