I'll be the first to confess that I'm not the biggest fan of Dominic Purcell as an actor: he was pretty wooden throughout his tenure on Prison Break, and these days spends his time working for shlock directors like Uwe Boll. However, with the right script and a strong director to guide him, I expect that he could make for a fantastic Commander Shepard in a Mass Effect movie (and I'm not even referring to the fact that Shepard's male voice actor is pretty freaking wooden himself). Firstly, there's the ridiculously strong physical resemblance between the two, to the extent that it almost seems as though BioWare modeled the character on him. While I would personally love to see a Mass Effect film follow female Shepard instead (perhaps with Jessica Chastain in the role?), let's face it, we're far more likely to end up with male Shepard, and casting directors could do a lot worse than Purcell, as long as the script is in fighting shape.
