7. Karl Urban - John Marston (Red Dead Redemption)

Karl Urban has a brilliant knack for chameleonically assuming iconic roles, finding significant success playing Eomer in The Lord of the Rings, Leonard "Bones" McCoy in Star Trek, and Judge Dredd in Dredd. He's also had experience working on video game movies before, though considering it was on the awful Doom, hopefully that hasn't turned him off the experience forever. Urban is a likeable actor who has stuck mostly to supporting roles throughout his career, but wouldn't it be great if he landed the part of John Marston in a movie adaptation of Rockstar's fantastic game Red Dead Redemption? Urban has proven himself to be a supremely cool character in recent years, and Dredd makes it clear more than any other film how he'd be able to handle the grizzled nature of the outlaw Marston. The physical resemblance may not be as spot-on as some of the other entries in this list, but as you can see, he looks great in period duds, and if he let his hair (both head and facial) grow out a bit, he'd more than look the part.
