This one's an extremely hopeful prospect given that a Half-Life movie will probably never happen, largely because it requires giving a voice to the wordless protagonist, Gordon Freeman. Figuring out how to adapt a Half-Life movie is pretty much a thankless task, but if they're going to do it, they may as well opt for a world-class, Oscar-nominated actor of Edward Norton's caliber. Online I found many message boards suggesting Hugh Laurie for the part, but do I even need to really tell you how wrong he is? Gordon is supposed to be 27 years old! Granted, Norton is no spring chicken himself either anymore, but if Valve are prepared to fudge the facts a little (or simply not mention Gordon's age), Norton could pass pretty convincingly for someone in their mid-30s. Just look at the picture of Norton above from American History X: one of Freeman's signature traits, the goatee, is sheer perfection! Plus, Norton's thin frame makes him perfectly believable as the crowbar-totting nerd.
