12 Biggest Secrets In All Super Mario Games

11. White Mushroom Houses (Super Mario Bros. 3)

We all know about the warp whistles in Super Mario Bros 3, and probably less of us know about the secret messages you get from the kingdom's monarchs when you complete worlds while wearing the Frog, Raccoon or Hammer Bros. suits. But some of the bigger secrets in the game are the White Mushroom Houses (blue in the SNES version), which appear when you complete specific levels having collected specific numbers of coins. How to unlock them: Simple (well, simple instructions anyway). You just need to collect the following numbers of coins on the worlds listed below. After you do this, a moving mushroom house will appear over the next level in the world. Go inside, and in the chest you'll find formidable power-ups like the P-Wing and Clouds, and occasionally crappy treasures like the Air Anchor. World 1-4: 44 coins World 2-2: 30 coins World 3-8: 41 coins World 4-2: 22 coins World 5-5: 28 coins World 6-7: 78 coins World 7-2: 41 coins
