Dead Space 3 was one of the games that many criticised as being "casualised" this year, and while that was true in many instances, the difficulty certainly wasn't one of them, as I realised during this boss battle in chapter 9, against the Snowbeast. Basically, the aim of the boss is pretty clear, that you have to destroy the orange tentacles protruding from its body, but with its lunge attacks and tendency to turn you into swiss cheese if you get even an inch too close, you have to be constantly on the move and mindful of your environment. The key is to time your running to coincide with when the Snowbeast charges, and also use stasis to take down the tentacles and sacs if you so need to. Don't panic, but at the same time, don't stand still for too long, and eventually, the monster will slink off.
