10. Batman: Arkham Knight
Rocksteady's final entry in their Bat-canon is one that's received mostly positive reviews, as besides some questionably short DLC packages and upcoming "Exclusive skins" ('Woo.hoo.'), the base game is downright phenomenal. First up, the biggest complaint people are having is with the tank-like Batmobile, but honestly when you're driving it - the nitrous boost kicking in with a resounding "PHWOOM" as you tear off down the highway - there's no more empowering feeling this side of nabbing the Gravity Hammer in Halo. If you can get on board with a Batman that takes a few liberties with how gun-happy he can be in the war against crime, you'll not have any issue with its implementation across the campaign. It's that simple - especially when every round is non-lethal, despite the broken bones and pained screams that fill the air. The rest of the story is peppered with a string of optional side-missions, giving you the chance to do everything from team up with Catwoman and Nightwing to battering the likes of Penguin, Two-Face, Man-Bat and more. It is true the main beat of the story (finding out who the Arkham Knight is) can be telegraphed from the very first thing he says if you know your Batman mythos, but the journey to that revelation is positively loaded with the best set-pieces and badass Batman 'moments' ever committed to code.
