5. Super Mario Sunshine
Perhaps Super Mario Sunshine didn't live up to the endless fun of Super Mario 64, but that's like saying you're slow because you can't beat Usain Bolt on a 100m track. The concept was typically 'Nintendo' and saw Mario sloshing around the tropical Isle Delfino mopping up a toxic sludge, earning shine sprites (stars) and exploring some colourful locations. It was a great addition to the 3D Mario series and let's face it, to formula of the game never needs to change with Mario. As long as there are 100+ stars on offer around various points on the map to collect, there'll always be millions of fans ready to lap it up. If you didn't grow up on Mario, where were you?
