6. The Prince - Prince Of Persia
The Prince is the main protagonist of the Prince of Persia series and rose to gaming fame with the Sands of Time game.
He has incredible acrobatic abilities that give him an advantage in combat and allows him to traverse the world with moves like wall running and basic parkour. He also possesses a magical dagger that allows the player to rewind time, giving them the chance to make up for any mistakes made while platforming or even cheat death.
Unfortunately, The Prince’s character went through a major change in the sequel, where he seemed to go through a brooding, Emo-like phase. The third entry tried to return him to the same character of the first game, but fell short of fans expectations and created issues with the story along the way.
This left fans of the games thinking about what could have been, as The Prince from the first game showed signs of an overconfident and power hungry young prince forced to learn from his mistakes and arrogance in order to save his people.
With Ubisoft reconsidering some of their older franchises, many fans will be hoping for the series to return and that they can realise the Prince’s untapped potential.
