10. Arno & Elise - Assassin's Creed: Unity
Say what you like about AC: Unity (there's
much to be said) but one thing it managed to get right was the acting and interaction between both Arno and Elise, the two of them growing up on opposite sides of the Assassin/Templar divide - all in the middle of the French Revolution. Although you don't delve into their teenage years and instead jump from a first-meet through to adulthood, this then afforded Ubisoft plenty opportunities to make Indiana Jones-style quips alluding to past missions or experiences - especially in the middle of an intense situation. Little things like Elise mentioning that a skirmish "Reminds of that time in La Marais" establishes their history far better than showing it, giving the couple a rough n' tumble survivalist edge that's reminiscent of how Nathan Drake and Elena get along. Come the close of the game it's not all sunshine and rainbows, but the amount of positive things you can say about their very entertaining and enjoyable chemistry on screen far outweighs the rest.
