7. The Aliens - Aliens: Colonial Marines

For so many fans of the Alien series, who had been waiting, praying, and selling their souls in hopes of an accurate video game representation of the second film's claustrophobic, sci-fi horror meets military carnage, this game was enough to make grown men cry. No one could wait to get their hands on a smart gun and begin blowing away xenomorphs in one hopeless situation after the next. Instead the only hopeless situation they found themselves stuck in was how much this game seemed bent on refusing to respect the source material. There are too many things that are wrong with this game to list here, but the real problem lies with the Aliens. In the game's easier setting they'll walk right past you, and though upping the difficulty provides some improvement, the real travesty is that the xenomorph's signature acid blood, which should make most close quarters combat lethal, is tuned down to a minor nuisance.
