12 Most Hotly Anticipated Original Gaming Properties Of 2014

11. Titanfall

The heated debates surrounding Call Of Duty can be summarised in one of two ways; the gameplay is getting stale despite the fact that the overall formula still works, or that everything about it people once endeared has just been beaten to a bloody pulp and fused into the asphalt, losing all appeal. One upcoming new IP is looking to prove the former right. Titanfall is an attempt from Respawn Entertainment €“ made up of former Infinity Ward developers - to drastically shake things up, and what better way to do that than by adding in giant mechs? A beta was also made available for a short time, and it left a promising impression. What popped out most to gamers during the beta is that it really isn't an unimaginative take on Call Of Duty with mechs. It's a very visually striking game that feels more like Halo if anything, and has some interesting acrobatic gameplay mechanics such as running along walls. The Xbox One hasn't necessarily had much going for it since its launch with the criminally underrated and overlooked Dead Rising 3, but Titanfall has all the mainstream ingredients to be a pivotable success for the console.
