12 Most Anticipated Nintendo Switch Games - Ranked

3. Metroid 2: Samus Returns

Part of a one-two "We got you, fam" combo, Nintendo announced a next instalment in the Metroid Prime canon, whilst also debuting 'Samus Returns'; an all-new 3DS remake of the original Metroid II: The Return of Samus.

The former Game Boy exclusive has been given the complete rework treatment, with melee counter attacks supposedly influenced by Metroid: Other M's combat, and - best of all - a full 360 degree of rotation to aim in all directions.

Rather like the supremely well received Zero Mission on Game Boy Advance (which was a remake of the 1986 original), Samus Returns looks stellar, and ultimately, would have to try pretty damn hard not to be phenomenal.
