1. Cole Train Is Back In Gears Of War 4

It's taken them to just a few weeks before launch, but finally Microsoft are getting behind Gears of War 4 and championing it like the system-exclusive it needs to be. Latest footage has seen a launch trailer drop that's positively RAMMED full of awesome cutaways and allusions to set-pieces, character moments and relationships.

We see that in the time between Gears 3 and 4, Marcus had settled down to have a child; one who would then take up the fight alongside him against the various new enemies seen in the above trailer.

Not only that, Gears 4 is going full on Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Creed, taking just enough elements from an established timeline and using them to gradually branch into the new. Marcus is one of your backup teammates to keep a familiar face, there's Augustus 'Cole Train' Cole "Woo!"ing his way into frame at one point, and even what looks like General RAMM popping up for some sort of zombie-like boss fight.

In short, Gears 4 looks spectacular, and with any luck, playing to the nostalgia factor of bringing these guys back after a few years will only enhance the overall narrative.
