12 Nintendo Switch Exclusives - Ranked From Worst To Best
7. ARMS
In theory this should've been Punch-Out for the next generation. A game built on a one-on-one framework, with the impetus on landing the most precise shots possible and watching for openings so you can devastate opponents?
Sadly the reality of ARMS was a bit too flaily for its own good, as regardless of whether you used motion controls or analogue sticks, the virtue of spring-loaded haymakers rarely felt as precise as the brutally hard A.I. required.
Still, ARMS looks gorgeous, and represents - alongside Splatoon - Nintendo's renewed approach to bolster their existing franchises with new IP comprising loveable characters and worlds. Gameplay here is meaty and nuanced enough - especially with two players and a set of Joy-Cons each - the only problem is that unless you wanna duke it out online forever, there's a lack of anything substantial offline.
