12 PlayStation 2 Games You Forgot You Loved

3. Ico

We must escape this evil fortress, but first let us have a sit down. Ico was a stunningly simple game, the developers said they wanted to create a game that was basic and immersive. They achieved this by having no tutorial and no instructions at all, not even what button does what. They wanted the player to interact with their surroundings and discover how to play in their own time. The plot is also a very simple €˜boy meets girl€™ only in this case the boy is rescuing the girl from an evil Queen. The game works beautifully and the player gets a real sense of achievement when they discover (totally on their own) how to complete a puzzle and move on to the next section.
