The Game: The most popular "endless running" video game series in existence, Temple Run pits the player as an explorer attempting to escape a never-ending temple while being chased by demonic monkeys and facing harsh obstacles. The goal is simply to last as long as you possibly can. The Movie: Warner Bros. is preparing to make a Temple Run movie, with David Heyman (Gravity) producing. Nothing else is known about it (whether it's live-action or animated, for starters), except that it's definitely happening. Why It's Ridiculous: Because you can't have someone run for an entire movie. Given that the thrill of the game is that you never stop running, it's going to be pretty much impossible to translate this properly to the screen, so the end result will much more likely be a sub-Indiana Jones adventure film with tons of temple exploration and occasional running during the set-pieces. Basically, a generic tomb raiding flick with a name title slapped on it. Which video game movies are you most weirded out by? Which unconventional ones would you love to see?
