12 Upcoming Video Games That Will Probably Be Delayed

12. The Crew

The Buzz: Ubisoft's open-world racer has sold itself largely on its huge, persistent world, which functions as a scaled-down version of the United States, allowing players to quite literally drive from one end of the country to the other. The game also prides itself on a total lack of loading screens once it's up and running, and multiplayer mayhem between up to 8 players. Current Release Date: December 2nd Why It Will Be Delayed: Because as anyone who has played the beta of The Crew knows, it's a terribly bland, generic game that's almost certain to bomb critically if not commercially as well. Not long after the recent beta wrapped up, Ubisoft delayed the game from its November 11th release date to early December, which was pretty much a not-so-subtle admission that the game just wasn't working in key areas. That said, it wouldn't be surprising to see the game pushed back again within the next few weeks, given that it's unlikely Ubisoft will be able to make substantial progress overhauling the game in by December. On the other hand, with the current Driveclub fiasco and Project CARS being pushed to March next year, they might simply have the mindset that even a poor final game will still make some money with such a huge hole in the racing market right now (at least for anyone who doesn't own an Xbox One).
