12 Video Game Bosses That Were A Total Letdown

Resident Evil 2 Remake gave horror-lovers everything they could've hoped for. Rather than recreating the same game as before with modern graphics, every aspect was designed from the ground up, including mechanics, enemies, combat, puzzles, and the layout.

Although the original bosses were straightforward shootouts, the encounters this time focus more on strategy. As such, it was expected that the true final boss, Birkin G5, would be heavily reworked, since the original version was too easy and brief.

Ironically, this is the only boss that wasn't heavily revised for the remake. As before, the zombified blob slides through a train carriage at a snail's pace, trying to devour our protagonists. Since Birkin has no conventional attacks, all Leon or Claire have to do is kill the sentient mouth before he reaches them. This shouldn't be a problem, since the players should be armed to the teeth by this point, allowing them to end the battle in 30 seconds flat.

What's more frustrating is the fact our heroes must go through the main campaign twice to face Birkin G5, making the final encounter even more underwhelming.
